Donald Paul Harman lived in South Kansas City, Missouri and was born in Marietta, Ohio on May 8th, 1970. Don was the youngest of three children born to Gordon Stanley Harman and the late Harriett Jo Harman. Don graduated from Miami University in Oxford, Ohio. Don had always wanted to become a meteorologist. In fact, as a young boy he asked for items such as rain gauges and barometers as gifts..
