Prime is worth it if you will play consistently. I play twice a week and get my weekly drop from that and over a few months the boxes should make you "break even" if you sell them. If you're not doing comp/premier than its probably not gonna do much for you. Counter strike is an immensely complex game, but you can enjoy it at just about any level you want to. Alright I bought prime and I was at 11%. I thus believe you can unlock premier before buying prime but you'd have no idea how close you are to unlocking it..
