[DIAGRAM] 7 Wire Motor Wiring Diagram

wiring a single phase motor that has 7 leads. P is line only, 2-8-3 get tied together, 5-2-4 get tied together with line. My question is does it matter which line connection is the hot or neutral for the line connections? I had one come into the shop with the hot on 5-2-4 and the neutral on..
