Take A Dip At These Stunning Geelong Beaches

I've always wanted to explore the rock pools at Point Lonsdale on the Bellarine Peninsula in Victora. I timed my visit with the low tide at Port Phillip Head.. Even in the heart of winter, this is a stunningly beautiful, almost-deserted stretch of pristine ocean beach. At high tide, it offers great surfing opportunities. At low tide, the reef is exposed and one can walk barefoot on 'squishy' seaweed and peer into the countless pools to look for crabs, molluscs and the occasional octopus.
